ABOUT PRASANNA

TWIST N TURNS a very distinguished dance school has along with Tapas Das, another gem of an artiste- Prasanna Saikia. He has had been associated with TNT right from its very inception. His forte is Jazz & considered one of the best of his kind in the city. With the likes of Gilles Chyhen for Modern-Jazz, Christy Blyther for Theatre jazz, & Ronnie for Lyrical/Modern jazz and Ballet, Fatima for Street Jazz, he has been perfected with finesse by such distinguished performers & more. He has undergone workshops under a variety of other choreographers. He is a connoisseur in the art of teaching dance, & is training concurrently. He has shared his expertise & tutored over 5000 students from various cities such as Kolkata, Guwahati, Hyderabad, & Shillong. He has also performed at various famous festivals, events and shows, & is a part of the dignified Ashok hall group.

ABOUT SWARNAV

Swarnav started dancing when he was a kid. He joined TWIST N TURNS as a student in 2006 and since then he nurtured himself to achieve a goal in this field. Therefore, he went through probationary period in TWIST N TURNS n now he has become one of the instructors. He got training in western dance forms from Pedro (JIVE), Kenzo Mendy, Tapas Das (HIP-HOP), Prasanna Saikia (JAZZ), Sudeip Gurung and ballet dancer Zuleikha from US. Swarnav got training in Indian form also from Sreemoyee in Natyashastra .On the other hand, Swarnav has a very friendly personality, he loves to make friend.

He is pursuing graduation in Bsc. (SS) and will be completing it by 2010.His perception towards dance is, one should never stop learning because there cannot be a ‘full stop’ in learning something new. According to Swarnav-, “I am just a new born baby in this huge world of dance, so I have to learn more and more to grow up and stand up in this huge wonderful creative world”.
