FAQS When can I start classes? How do I make a booking? Do I have to attend the same class every week? Do I have to attend a fixed "term" of classes? Can I try a class before I commit to the whole course? Do I have to pay any money in advance? I have no dance experience; will I be able to cope? I have some dance experience, which level should I start? How long will it take me to learn? What do I wear? For HIP HOP & STREET- As this class would include lots of workout and sweating , we recommend to wear track pant and tshirt (both should have no zip or button). For JAZZ - Any comfortable tshirt with jazz pants or any fitting stretchable pants, or leotards. (Changing rooms available) What shoes should I wear? For SALSA- If you have dance shoes then bring them. The ideal shoes have suede soles and hold your foot firmly in position. If you do not have dance shoes, wear something that is comfortable and that can slide quite easily on the floor without gripping. Leather soles are good, rubber soles are not. We recommend you do not wear trainers, boots or mules. The right footwear is essential in order to be able to carry out movements correctly and without injury. We stock a wide range of leather dance shoes for both ladies and gentlemen FOR HIP HOP & STREET- Sneakers or sport shoes with socks. FOR JAZZ - You can wear Jazz shoe or Jazz sneakers or dance barefoot as instructed by the instructor. Do I need to bring a partner?
I'm bringing someone, do I have to rotate partners? Rotating partners is not solely for social reasons. It helps the learning process. It's necessary to properly learn how to lead and follow. Everyone has a different style, and changing partners will greatly enhance the speed at which you learn. That being said, you can always remove yourself slightly from the circle and not change partners - no problem! Will I feel intimidated? Will I dance with the same person all the time? I have two left feet! If I can’t continue with a course, can I get a refund? Is There Parking near the venue? Is there easy public transport to the Venue? Yes! For Salt Lake Studio: You can get an auto from karunamoyee or ultadanga to C.A.P Camp and then, locate a furniture shop named Mod Furn and take the small by lanes adjacent to it and after passing the lane take the second left and locate the first bungalow with a board there. For Ballygunge Studio: You need to come to Richie Park AKA Maddox Square. It’s near to Hazra and Sarat Bose road crossing. You can also refer Google map. Just put our name, that’s it. What happens if I miss a class, how do I make up? No problem! You can swap classes at any time, and make up classes during the week, for any other class. Once you sign up for a session, and miss a class, you may attend a make up class by informing the teacher. If you cannot make any other class in that week or coming week, then you would lose a class (although we do go out of our way to make sure people are well taken care of). Check out the schedule to know the various timings of classes. Can I get a friend to see the class? Yes. We allow people or outsiders to see the class for the last 15 mins of the session. Till then the dear friend will have to wait at the reception area. Is it necessary to be a member, What if I don’t want a membership? The membership is free with all our monthly classes’ packages so there is no question that you have to pay extra for it. If you don't want a monthly package then wou can go for a PAY PER CLASS Package , which does not include membership. What is the benefit of being a member? Then you get different offers and discounts for our classes, workshops and shows. Also, after discontinuation you can join in again without any extra charge.
